He was an avid fisherman, loved boating, enjoyed traveling, and was a large fan of NASCAR. He was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather. Jim was never to busy to sit and have a conversation with family or friends and a have beer. Jim was predeceased by his mother Mary Barron, and his sisters; Phyllis and Eileen. Jim’s family will have a Celebration of Life for him in Michigan.

He was an avid football fan and enjoyed following the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. His love for plants and gardening didn’t stop at work, he continued gardening and planting at home.
She enjoyed taking care of her family, she was a great mom. In her younger years, Betty was an avid bowler, was very interested in antiquing, and traveling in their motor home. She loved going to their cabin in Franklin, North Carolina. Predeceased by her parents; Hubert and Ethel Wood, her beloved husband of 54 years, William F. Tillman, and her 4 brothers and 1 sister. In Hialeah, Dee was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church where she taught Sunday School, was the Girls Auxiliary Leader. Dee also volunteered as a Pink Lady at Baptist Hospital in Miami. Dee retired from Bell South Telephone Company after 20 years. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and great great grandmother.

Jim has been a resident of Citrus County for the past 7 years, and for the last 23 years has been of part time resident of Inverness, previously residing in Flint-Gladwin, MI. Jim proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps. He retired from the automotive industry at AC Spark Plug where he was in the maintenance department in Flint, Michigan.
He was a lover of hot sauce, politics and great conversations. He is mourned by his loving wife Elizabeth Coates; his daughters Krisstina Stanley of Brownfield, Maine, Leann LaBarre of Winter Garden, FL and Danialle Coates of Inverness, FL; sister Kimberly Smith-Martinez; and three grandchildren. A Celebration of Life for Tom will be held at the family farm at a later date.

She was Baptist by faith, and enjoyed baking, crochet, gardening, and reading.
